Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at Ellenberger Park

Free Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra pop concert
Ellenberger Park
Wednesday, July 26, 7:30 p.m.

Community Hospital is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, with a gift to the community: a free Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra pop concert.

The concert at Ellenberger Park is part of the Orchestra’s Symphony in the Parks series. The theme is “An American Travelogue—From Sea to Shining Sea,” under the direction of Alfred Savia, conductor. The concert will celebrate Community Health Network’s 50th anniversary, honoring the opening of Community Hospital East in 1956 as the first hospital in the network.

The event will include a hospitality tent with free snacks, open to the public prior to the concert, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Area residents are invited to park at Community East (16th Street and Ritter Avenue) and take free shuttles from the hospital to Ellenberger Park (less than a mile away) or enjoy a healthy walk along the guided route.

Shuttles will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and after the concert. The event is sponsored by Community Hospitals Foundation, American Senior Communities and other neighborhood partners.
