6:30 p.m.
A presentation by Paul Diebold, Senior Architectural Historian, Indiana Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology, will walk you through a century of house designs, using examples from all around Indiana.
You will see how catalogs and books influenced a homeowner’s choice in floor plans, building materials and exterior style. Indianapolis and our surrounding communities have several examples of kit houses. Provided by such companies as Sears, the kit houses were delivered with pre-cut materials and full architectural plans. Here is an opportunity to identify the style of your home. Could your house be a kit or catalog house? Bring pictures of your house and find out! Sponsored by HLFI, IMCPL, and The Indiana DNR Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology.

The IPS Renewal Team is a grassroots movement of parents, employees, neighbors, city leaders and students who are working to ignite a renewal movement in IPS.
While Indianapolis is experiencing great renewal in its growing population and cultural life, the IPS Renewal Team believes Indianapolis will not be a renewed city until all parents, regardless of their racial identity or socio-economic status, are comfortable entrusting their children to the care of IPS (even if they don't choose to do so).
The Team meets on the third Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on the corner of 16th and Delaware streets. Everyone is welcome. To learn more about IPS Renewal and its goals, please visit the website.
