Simply Divine

Sunday, Dec 4, 1-5 pm Candlelit Tour of Eastside Churches.

We pass them every day on our way to and from work, as we run errands or as we travel to visit friends and family.
Some of us may ponder a stained-glass window, a limestone carving above a door or some other architectural feature. Yet few of us ever take the time to discover the interior treasures of the historic churches that grace our neighborhoods.

The Near East Side Community Organization’s History and Preservation Committee will offer central Indiana residents the opportunity to remedy this by sponsoring a tour of several churches on Indianapolis’ east side.
The committee will host its second-annual Simply Divine sacred architecture tour from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 4. The Englewood Christian Church, 57 N. Rural St., will act as the host church and will sponsor a reception with refreshments.
