Tree Planting

Saturday, Nov 12 9:00AM Rain or Shine
11th and Bancroft
Volunteers Needed!

Emerson Heights and Little Flower will be having their neighborhood tree planting this Fall.

We have to "plant ahead" 10 years or so to insure that Emerson Heights remains a neighborhood of Tree Lined Streets and a park like atmosphere.

Since it’s the front door to our neighborhood, the focus will be on 10th street again this year. We are also looking for Emerson Heights residents who would like a free tree in their yard – even if they aren’t on 10th street.

We need volunteers and there is a job for everyone: This is a great opportunity to learn the right way to plant a tree. It’s also a great opportunity to meet and work with some of your neighbors while making a long-term investment in your neighborhood. We can’t do projects like this without your help. Tools are provided so you will want to leave your tools at home so they don't get mixed up.

The tree planting is a partnership between the Emerson Heights Community Organization, the Little Flower Neighborhood, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, and the East 10th Street Civic Association.
To volunteer or ask about a free tree, please contact:
