The film was awarded both the Crystal Heart and Audience Choice Award for Best Documentary feature during the 2006 Heartland Film Festival.
Please RSVP to 920-0330 x 100 or namccormick@inrc.org by Thursday, September 20.
Screening of “A Man Named Pearl”
INRC is pleased to offer a special screening of this film on Thursday, September 20, 7pm
at the Keystone Art Cinema located in the Fashion Mall at Keystone.
This film tells the inspiring story of self-taught topiary artist Pearl Fryar, whose unlikely journey to national prominence began with a bigoted remark. Fueled by a desire to overcome racial stereotype, over 30 years ago, Pearl began fashioning a garden that would attract positive attention. His goal began modestly, but has escalated into a greater purpose, bringing tourist dollars to a poor community and creating a haven where people of all races can feel peace, love and goodwill.
Space is limited! Call INRC at 920-0330, ext. 100 to reserve your seat today!

Dequincy and Walnut streets
Rain Date: Sunday, Sept 23rd
This is a great way to have some fun, clean up the neighborhood and meet your neighbors.
Meet at Dequincy and Walnut streets, garbage bags and gloves will be provided. After the cleanup, volunteers will be treated to a backyard cookout including hot dogs, hamburgers and various side dishes.
If you can't join us, you can still do your part by picking up the trash on all sides of your home, including the alley and front side walk. This is also a good time to clean old newspapers and such from the front porch. It only takes a few minutes a day to make sure that your property is trash and debris free.
Come join us on Saturday.
