Interested parents should investigate schools and programs early in order to meet the application deadline. <br /> <br /> IPS option schools include the very popular Key School, the Center for Inquiry and the Montessori schools. These schools use different teaching methods and parents are encouraged to visit the schools to find the learning environment best suited to their child. <br /> <br /> There are also numerous magnet programs in IPS that provide challenging curriculum for students with special aptitudes or interests such as art, math, science, music or technology. If your child has shown an interest or aptitude in a particular area, consider talking with his/her teachers about enrolling in a magnet program.
