Walk in the Park Exhibit of Art
Art, Music, Food and Creative Kids In Ellenberger Park
August 10th Noon-5:00pm ![]() Irvington Guild of Artists (IGA) “Walk in the Park” Exhibit of Art is celebrating its 7th successful year. Ellenberger Park is again the venue from noon-5pm on August 10th. IGA has continued its tradition of selecting only the highest quality artists; thus ensuring a smaller show with approximately 45 artists that are some of the finest in their trade. “Artists have loved to exhibit with us and consider the Walk in the Park as one of the best run shows they have attended,” says Becky Hill, IGA Founder. “And as a result we have built a reputation that allows us to continue attracting some of the finest artists in the area.” Among our exhibiting artists you will find painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, weavers, and potters. In addition to our fine artists you will also find “Dali’s Digs for Kids” sponsored by The Studio School & Gallery. “Dali’s Digs” is a free children’s area that will include mural painting, artist inspired projects, sculpture, and performance art. Also returning this year is our “Flash Painting.” Watch as some of our exhibiting artists participate in a competition to create an instant masterpiece painting to our performing musician. New this year are “Artists at Work” demos including glass bead making by the Indiana Society of Lampwork and Glass Artists, silver clay by Magickal Dragon Designs, and making dolls from cloth by Indy Cloth Dollmakers. We will be awarding two of our exhibiting artist on the merits of their work and overall display. The entire event is free and held in collaboration with the Irvington Garden Club’s Farmers Market featuring over 45 booths of produce, soaps, candles, plants, and community information. For additional information please visit http://www.irvingtonart.org Webmaster's Note: Emerson Heights resident Ginny Taylor Rosner will be exhibiting her photography at this event.
