Zoning Education Forum
Wed, March 29th, 6-7:30pm
Englewood Christian Church 57 N. Rural "The role of City Planning Staff in Land Use Decisions and Negotiating on Behalf of Your Neighborhood" NESCO Zoning Committee is repeating its popular Zoning Education Forum on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 from 6 to 7:30 pm at Englewood Christian Church, 57 N. Rural. First offered in March of last year, this educational forum is free and open to all interested residents and business owners who want to increase their understanding of how the city’s zoning process works. This year, there will be special emphasis on residents’ rights and responsibilities as a remonstrator (or supporter) of rezoning and variance cases heard by the city’s commissions and boards. The presenter, Tammara L. Tracy, is the Principal Planner with the City’s Department of Metropolitan Development. Ms. Tracy received her Masters in Regional and Community Planning preceded by a B.S. in Economics from Kansas State University. Before her work in the planning profession, she was a firefighter and Executive Director for a small non-profit focused on landlord-tenant and consumer advocacy issues. Ms. Tracy started her planning career in Indianapolis in 1988 and has served as Senior Planner, Chief Planner, Subdivision Administrator and Pike Township Administrator. As a volunteer, Ms. Tracy has been active in Historic Urban Neighborhoods of Indianapolis (HUNI) and Fletcher Place and Herron-Morton Neighborhood Associations. Currently she is volunteer chair of the Meridian Street Preservation Commission. Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to sbodi@enn.org by Monday, March 27.
